Packing Tape

Eco-Friendly Packing Tape for Australian Organisations

Most packing tape is made from fossil-fuel plastic. It seals a carton once, then sits in landfill for decades after the parcel is opened. For schools, councils, offices, warehouses, and community organisations sealing cartons every day, switching to eco-friendly packing tape is a simple change that cuts packaging waste without losing sealing performance.

Buyecogreen supplies packing tape across three environmentally responsible types, so procurement teams can match the tape to the job and to their sustainability policy. All are built for reliable adhesion through handling, storage, and transport, and all are available in bulk for institutional ordering.

Compostable and Biodegradable Tape

Our compostable packing tape is Australia’s first natural rubber adhesive packaging tape certified to AS 4736 for compostability and biodegradability. The film is made from renewable resources, it hand-tears cleanly, and each roll runs 80m, well over a third longer than most standard rolls. It suits organisations sending parcels through industrial composting streams and those wanting the lowest-impact seal available.

Recycled Plastic Tape

Our recycled plastic packing tape is made from 100% recycled material, with a printed recycling logo running along the tape so the environmental choice is visible on every carton. It uses a solvent-free adhesive and runs 66m per roll, again longer than most standard tapes, which means fewer roll changes across a packing bench.

Kraft Paper Tape

For a paper-based seal that recycles with the carton, our kraft paper tape uses a pH neutral adhesive and comes in 48mm and 25mm widths, plus an FSC-certified Fragile-printed option in strong 110 micron paper for goods that need careful handling.

These tapes sit within a full packaging range, so you can order alongside recycled paper bags and padded bags and mailers, or review the wider wholesale eco-friendly packaging options for high-volume needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is eco-friendly packing tape strong enough for shipping?

Yes. All our packing tapes provide secure adhesion for cartons and parcels through handling, storage, and transport. The compostable and kraft options are hand-tearable and suit both manual and automated use.

What is the most sustainable packing tape option?

The compostable natural rubber tape is the lowest impact, certified to AS 4736 and made from renewable resources. Kraft paper tape is next, as it recycles with the carton.

Which tape recycles with the cardboard box?

Kraft paper tape does. Because it is paper based with a pH neutral adhesive, it can go into the recycling stream with the carton rather than being separated first.

Can we order packing tape in bulk for an organisation?

Yes. Buyecogreen supplies schools, councils, offices, and warehouses in volume, with reliable repeat stock. Call 1300 663 488 to arrange bulk orders or regular supply.

Do you offer custom printed tape?

Custom printing is available on kraft paper tape, with a minimum quantity of 36 rolls. Email info@buyecogreen.com.au to discuss branded tape for your organisation.
